Haris had gone missing on 16th February and was found on Friday.
The student of a private university, in his statement to the police, stated that the kidnappers told him to leave a bag at a specific location. He added that the abductors subjected him to severe torture and burned him alive after he refused to comply their instructions.
“Several people in a double-cabin vehicle kidnapped me when I was heading home from Defence area”, he said.
Meanwhile, police also recorded the statement of the rickshaw driver during their investigation. The driver of the three wheeled vehicle stated that he had left Haris and a girl at a house located at Defencie View area of Karachi.
The law enforcing agencies said there are contradictions between the statements of the student and the rickshaw driver.
The case of the incident has been filed in Baloch Colony Police Station.
